About The Position

Robert Half, one of FORTUNE's World's Most Admired Companies and a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, is hiring for a VP, Performance Marketing to join the Marketing department. Reporting to the Senior Vice-president of Global Marketing, this role is instrumental in defining the long-term digital strategy and sustained growth of Robert Half’s audience and customer base. This role will own, drive, and report key metrics related to acquisition, engagement, retention, and churn. This leader will think and act strategically, making data-driven decisions to optimize digital initiatives to drive net new clients, candidates leads, and increase retention. This role’s responsibilities include providing strategic leadership for digital channels and lifecycle marketing initiatives, including web and SEO for roberthalf.com, email marketing journeys, paid acquisition and integrated 3rd party performance marketing channels supporting site traffic, conversions, marketing qualified leads for field sales teams, purchase/repurchase, and retention. This leader will partner with IT leaders and advocate for resources to iterate on integrations, data accessibility and tools in support of marketing goals. The role is accountable to deliver strategic annual plans to support real-time and future business needs, and will collaborate closely as the strategic advisor for the international business ensuring technology, platforms, and optimization strategies are consistent and best practices are global.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field.
  • 10+years of digital marketing experience with proven success in both strategy and execution of innovative, high-impact campaigns.
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital marketing strategies in a heavily matrixed organization that have driven significant customer acquisition, engagement, and retention results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly consume large amounts of data and draw insights that drive the business forward.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for building relationships and influencing others.
  • Established track record of recruiting and leading high-performing teams that deliver results while having fun.
  • Proficient in the latest digital marketing technologies and platforms, with expert skills and experience ideally with Salesforce and Adobe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a long-term digital marketing strategy to engage, attract and retain customers with relevant, timely, and targeted communications.
  • Develop, evolve, and automate dynamic customer segmentation strategies that increase the efficiency and performance of the marketing channel resulting in high quality client leads and candidate experiences and conversions.
  • Develop and manage Product Marketing team and function to proactively drive adoption and utilization of our digital experiences.
  • Drive the evolution of our lifecycle programs towards automated, trigger-based, dynamically personalized messages using various channels (Email, Web, SMS, Push, Social, Display) to carry a consistent experience.
  • Define lifecycle marketing KPI’s, and rigorously evaluate the health of existing campaigns through a testing program driving continuous optimization.
  • Influence cross-functional teams, including marketing, product (BT), corporate services, and IT, to develop and execute holistic strategies for improving key business outcomes.
  • Drive web strategy to identify and detail business requirements for new capabilities that will amplify the effect of web and lifecycle marketing efforts; acting as business leader for new capabilities, provide IT the business input they need to architect a fully integrated martech environment.
  • Lead the recommendations program and strategy using our AI/Machine learning engines across communications.
  • Influence strategy across platforms leveraging the technology and drive development of our AI engines with critical business cases.
  • Manage the Marketing Automation team to enable global technical solutions, create infrastructure for speed and evaluate tools/technology.
  • Oversee the global strategy and partner with country managers (MD’s) to enable results where most needed.
  • Responsible for planning and return on a paid acquisition budget of ~$25M USD annually in in partnership with Finance and SVP Marketing. This includes annual planning of budgets and accurate quarterly forecasting.
  • Lead negotiations and renewals for our annual job board and partner contracts, working closely with Purchasing, Business Transformation (LinkedIn) and the senior field leadership and executives, securing the best value for Robert Half.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing team of 40 marketers and marketing automation developers.
  • Create a culture of collaboration, creativity resulting in highly-engaged employees.
  • Participate in various Business Transformation meetings related to Digital Marketing and Digital Strategy
  • Work closely with leaders from field, information technology, business transformation teams to ensure cohesive vision, strategy execution, governance, and alignment with goals.
  • Present vision and performance results to the C-Suite, Operational Presidents, EDs, CMO and other corporate teams and stakeholders as needed.
