About The Position

The VP of People Operations sits at the center of this journey, designing systems and programs that keep us compliant and efficient while also enabling connection, growth, and resilience across our global team. Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with Legal, Finance, IT, and leaders across the organization, this role balances operational excellence with cultural stewardship. The VP anticipates workforce, regulatory, and technology shifts, delivers data-driven insights, and creates an environment where people feel supported through growth and change.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive People Operations experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership within fast-growth technology environments.
  • Demonstrated success scaling companies from $50-150M, with global workforce and compliance experience.
  • Proven experience supporting M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and change management.
  • Deep expertise across HR operations: HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, and international labor laws.
  • Strong fluency in people analytics and workforce planning; able to translate data into actionable business strategy.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Legal, IT, and senior executives.
  • Experience managing multi-country HR operations, offshoring practices, and engineering-heavy organizations.
  • Executive presence with strong EQ; able to represent People Ops confidently to senior leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of modern human capital systems such as Rippling or Remote, Radford, 15Five, Lattice, Google Workspace, and Slack.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a bias toward scalable, repeatable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver flawless, compliant People Ops execution (payroll, onboarding, HRIS).
  • Reduce manual work through automation and AI.
  • Provide accurate workforce and headcount forecasting.
  • Improve hiring velocity and quality.
  • Strengthen retention and manager effectiveness.
  • Enforce performance and compensation discipline.
  • Scale global operations smoothly.
  • Equip leaders with dashboards and insights that drive data-backed decision-making.
  • Define and execute the People Systems roadmap.
  • Leverage automation and technology to reduce manual work, increase accuracy, and future-proof operations.
  • Act as a proactive partner to department heads.
  • Provide insights and frameworks across headcount planning, workforce modeling, org design (levels, spans/layers, talent mix), performance management, succession planning, leadership and team development, engagement and retention
  • Coach leaders through difficult conversations and organizational alignment.
  • Establish global employment frameworks and playbooks.
  • Support expansion in regions such as Canada, Europe, and LATAM.
  • Partner with Finance on workforce cost modeling, compensation strategy, and RPE tracking.
  • Ensure compensation, leveling, promotions, and hiring follow consistent, scalable frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring bar, interview design, and competency models.
  • Lead People Ops components of M&A, including: diligence, integration, communication, and cultural alignment
  • Build change management frameworks and serve as a stabilizing force during scaling, restructuring, or other strategic transitions.
  • Build clear, fair, consistent frameworks that reduce ambiguity and reinforce company values.
  • Equip managers with tools to lead confidently.
  • Evaluate and implement HR technologies (AI, engagement, compensation, workforce planning) to enable scale and efficiency.
