Job Overview: We are seeking a VP, People Business Partner to drive dynamic change and support continued business growth at LPL! This role will support the Product & Technology Business Unit. Specifically, this role will align to client groups within the Technology organization. The VP, People Business Partner will align with the assigned leaders to facilitate business and HR strategy execution, as well as provide consultation and coaching to leaders on performance management, talent management, organizational development, engagement strategies and compensation issues, in partnership with other teams within the Human Capital organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology or related field
  • 10+ years of professional level experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years working with senior level executives
  • Experience in HR Generalist skills such as Employee Relations, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Immigration, and Project Management
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws
  • Must be extremely organized and self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of the firm and to easily toggle between tactical and strategic as needed
  • Outstanding consultative and influencing skills with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, successfully manage multiple priorities, work independently and as a team in an ambiguous and dynamic work environment
  • Must have a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Proficient in Human Resource Management Systems

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Experience developing executive decks to tell stories and influence
  • 7+ years of experience supporting a high growth Technology organization
  • Experience working within financial services industry a plus
  • PHR or SPHR

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall People leadership and counsel with an emphasis on being a thought leader and partner on all things talent
  • Work on development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and practices in support of company and Technology’s business plans in the areas of; performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, compensation, talent management, change management, employee engagement, retention, professional development, culture and diversity
  • In partnership with the People Workforce Analytics team, develop and leverage key insights and metrics to inform decision-making, support and drive talent plans and programs
  • Advise business leaders on talent management opportunities – provide creative and innovative solutions on complex problems
  • Build and execute talent management plans to evolve the function; both strategic and tactical plans which will enable business delivery
  • In support of People strategy, lead and participate in cross-functional project and special teams, often partnering with Compensation & Benefits; Talent Development; Learning Delivery; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Talent Acquisition; HR Ops, Systems & Analytics; Corporate Communications
  • Represent and advocate for your client group to enable improvements to LPL's HR policies, benefits, initiatives, processes, etc.
  • Actively manage performance management needs and escalations and follow-up with managers and leaders to ensure consistent oversight and appropriate documentation
  • Act as the voice of the internal client to facilitate improvements to LPL's HR policies, benefits, initiatives, processes, etc.
  • Provide creative and innovative solutions to the business on complex problems.
  • Provide strategic guidance and execution with organizational design initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain materials to support initiatives across the client groups
  • Identify, prepare and conduct training as needed
  • Advise and support Immigration policies and processes
  • Actively participate in various projects in support of Human Capital strategy
  • Collaborate with internal HR COE’s in the development of industry leading and inclusive talent programs that drives retention and engagement
  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results driven environment with minimal daily oversight
