About The Position

Are you a strategic mastermind who believes that "mediocre retail" is a personal insult? We’re looking for a VP of Retail Flagship to own our end-to-end strategy and turn our retail stores into the stuff of legends. You’ll be the author of the Flagship Playbook, defining everything from how we connect with our customers to how we optimize our financial performance, all while leading new store openings like a true captain. We need someone who can represent the retail front at the senior level, translating boring data into actionable brand storytelling that makes people want to literally live in our stores! Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in retail leadership, flagship operations, or multi-location retail environments
  • Proven experience owning P&L responsibility and driving profitable retail growth is a MUST
  • Expert in scaling retail concepts and opening new locations
  • Knowledge of Shopify POS (this is required!)
  • Willing and able to travel as needed for store visits, openings, and key initiatives
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to execute at speed
  • Exceptional people leader with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams
  • Deep understanding of customer experience metrics (CSAT, NPS, CES, VOC) and how to operationalize insights
  • Freakin’ awesome communicator who can align executives, operators, and frontline teams
  • Highly organized, decisive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example by consistently living into goodr’s values of Fun and Authenticity

  • Hold monthly one-on-ones with each team member to build upon their role duties and hold everyone accountable
  • Ask clear questions, increase everyone’s knowledge, and empower the team so that we can get the best out of every person in your department
  • Give consistent, continuous feedback and challenge your flock to perpetually grow so they become the best version of themselves
  • Own your team’s budget and ensure its accuracy
  • Use imagination and wisdom to set team goals and communicate them clearly

  • Own the end-to-end flagship retail strategy from customer experience to financial performance
  • Define and uphold non-negotiable retail experience standards across all locations (we call these Cabanas!)
  • Deliver a customer-obsessed retail experience, bringing the goodr brand to life through immersive, customer-first stores
  • Create, maintain, and evolve the Flagship Playbook, including staffing & roles, training, merchandising standards, events & activations, and operating rhythms
  • Act as the primary bridge between brand, retail operations, and growth, ensuring alignment and execution
  • Define flagship expansion criteria, including market selection, store formats, and rollout sequencing
  • Lead new store openings from concept through launch, ensuring consistent execution and scalability
  • Partner with Finance and Systems teams to optimize retail tooling and reporting, including Shopify POS
  • Establish and monitor retail KPIs to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Represent the organization at the executive level, influencing company-wide strategy and priorities
  • Translate customer insights into actionable improvements across store experience, product feedback, and brand storytelling
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
