About The Position

RealTime eClinical Solutions is looking for a dynamic VP of Product Delivery. It is a senior product operations and execution leader responsible for ensuring that prioritized product initiatives are translated into high-quality, well-defined, and deliverable solutions. This role leads a team of Product Owners and owns the operational and technical execution of R&D investment priorities as defined by Product Management. The VP of Product Delivery ensures that product strategy and roadmap commitments are decomposed into clear functional and technical requirements, supported by strong documentation, effective SDLC and agile practices, and disciplined delivery execution. This role serves as the connective tissue between Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Quality, with accountability for delivery readiness, execution health, tooling (JIRA and its integration with Aha!), and delivery performance metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product delivery, product operations, engineering leadership, or related roles within a SaaS or technology environment
• 5+ years of experience leading Product Owners, delivery teams, or similar execution-focused product roles
• Deep understanding of agile and SDLC methodologies, including Scrum and iterative delivery models
• Proven experience translating product strategy and epics into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA, including workflow design, backlog management, and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Product Management, Engineering, and Design leadership
• Experience in defining and using delivery KPIs and metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating in a regulated or highly complex product environment (e.g., life sciences, financial services, healthcare, enterprise SaaS)
• Hands-on experience integrating JIRA with product management tools such as Aha!
• Background as a Product Owner, Engineering Manager, or Technical Program Manager
• Experience scaling delivery practices across multiple teams or product lines
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, testing strategies, and release management
• Familiarity with API-driven or platform-based product architecture
• Experience supporting long-range R&D planning and investment prioritization
• Ability to balance process rigor with pragmatism in fast-moving environments

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and scale a team of Product Owners responsible for the operational and technical execution of product initiatives and epics
• Own the translation of prioritized product initiatives and epics into detailed functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Ensure Design, Engineering, and Quality teams receive clear, complete, and actionable inputs required to deliver high-quality solutions
• Establish and enforce standards for functional and technical documentation, ensuring specifications remain accurate, current, and well-maintained throughout the product lifecycle
• Define, implement, and continuously improve SDLC and agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, testing, and release readiness
• Partner closely with Product Management to support R&D investment planning through technical analysis, dependency identification, sequencing, and delivery feasibility assessment
• Own JIRA administration, governance, and best practices, including its configuration, workflows, and integration with Aha! Product Management software
• Serve as the primary owner of delivery execution health, including capacity planning, flow efficiency, and delivery predictability
• Define, track, and report KPIs and metrics related to SDLC performance, delivery effectiveness, quality, and Product Delivery team outcomes
• Act as an escalation point for delivery execution risks, cross-team dependencies, and process breakdowns that threaten roadmap commitments
• Foster strong collaboration and trust across Product Management, Engineering, Design, QA, and other R&D stakeholders
• 25% of your time may include travel for client visits, conferences, networking events, or other work-related events
