About The Position

We’re hiring a high-impact executive role responsible for driving long-term growth by identifying new business models, future offer exploration, future segment diversification, and fostering high-value external partnerships. This role will contribute to the thought leadership for the company's future, balancing internal R&D with an ecosystem of technology, cloud, and channel partners. This role reports to the Chief Strategy Office and partners closely with the VP Product Management, VP of Software Engineering, Snr Director of Software Product, VP Engineering, other Product Leaders across the organization. Travel / Onsite Expectations We value in-person collaboration for this role. Richmond, VA is preferred. Non-local candidates should expect travel to Richmond ~2 days/week, with increased onsite time during the first 60–90 days to accelerate onboarding and team alignment. Core Responsibilities The VP of Innovation and Strategic Alliances will define the vision and execution of our partnership ecosystem while leading our internal future innovation exploration. You will identify disruptive opportunities, negotiate complex agreements, and ensure that all external collaborations align with our long-term strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree often preferred.
  • 15+ years in strategic alliances, business development, or innovation leadership, preferably in B2B SaaS or high-growth tech sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing high-value strategic deals.
  • Deep connections within the venture capital, fintech, or relevant industry community.
  • Strong executive presence, exceptional communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders at the C-suite level.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Own the future innovation and alliances execution strategy, aligning it with broad business goals and revenue targets. Future offer exploration includes but not limited to 800V, Solid State Components, MV Products, Water Cooled products, and other datacenter technologies.
  • Ecosystem Development: Identify and establish strategic relationships with technology partners, cloud platforms, and consulting firms to expand market reach.
  • Innovation Governance: Architect a "multi-speed" innovation engine that handles core, adjacent, and disruptive projects.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Legal to ensure alliances deliver meaningful value and integrate with existing products.
  • Deal Execution: Lead all aspects of strategic partnership evaluation, from initial idea generation to valuation, due diligence, and final negotiation.
