About The Position
The Director of Finance is a thoughtful and disciplined executive who will bring significant experience and credibility to the management team. This individual will be primarily responsible for overseeing financial operations, optimizing vendor utilization, financial planning/budgeting, implementing key compliance processes, and overseeing accounting staff. This position is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company’s growth through strategic financial planning and execution.
Requirements

- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to manage a team and projects
- Ability to operate in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Be creative in problem-solving
- Demonstrate flexibility, and the ability to multitask
- Bachelor’s degree required; in accounting and/or finance preferred
- Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks required
- 10+ years of relevant experience in accounting
- 5+ years in a similar role
- General knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS required
Nice To Haves
- CPA certification preferred
- Experience in a multisite healthcare and/or services business
- Public Accounting background preferred
- Healthcare/Dental industry experience beneficial
Responsibilities
- Provide financial support
- Developing financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to guide the organization’s financial direction
- Ensuring that financial practices comply with legal regulations and standards
- Identifying financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them
- Organize and present financial information
- Managing and mentoring the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Overseeing investment strategies and managing the organization’s assets
- Ensure IRS and Tax filings are completed and correct
- Analyzing costs and finding efficiencies to maximize profitability
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Maintain confidentiality concerning Company’s financial statements, policies and procedures
- Represent Swish Dental in a professional manner and display positive interaction with all customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Assist with special projects as necessary and other duties that may apply
