The ideal candidate is a strategic, execution-focused VP of Finance who will lead financial operations, shape long-term strategies, and partner with the CEO and Board to drive scalable growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive role is pivotal in ensuring financial excellence, operational rigor, and the success of key initiatives such as M&A, capital strategy, and systems transformation. Someone who: Is comfortable being a part of an executive team that thrives on healthy conflict. This means they aren’t afraid to mix it up or be held accountable by the team and they are willing to hold them accountable as well. People with thin skin need not apply. No, seriously. Passionately cares about our clients by helping them be more successful. Our clients are fleet managers, parts clerks, and automotive technicians, who maintain everything from squad cars to school buses so that everyone comes home safely at the end of the day. Thinks of themselves less, while not thinking less of themselves. They are other-centric, compassionate, and self-assured. Is willing to lift boxes, clean floors, and hold doors if that’s what it takes to get something done, because no job is beneath them. Takes ownership and initiative in their job. They are investment and growth oriented, balancing ambition with the reality of financial planning. Experienced in scaling SaaS businesses from $10M to $50M ARR and beyond. Strategic Partners: Strong communicators who hold cross-functional teams accountable to financial and business objectives, and who appreciate being held accountable by others in return. Scalers: Skilled in scaling financial operations for rapid, sustainable growth. Data-Driven Leaders: Leverage SaaS best-practice analytics and FP&A to enhance performance, guide investments, and inform decisions. They are firm, but flexible, and seek solutions rather than obstacles. Cultural Leaders: Collaborative, innovative, and aligned with RTA’s team-oriented culture of excellence and impact.
