About The Position

The Vice President of Finance and Business Development is responsible for all financial aspects of the company’s strategy, ensuring that financial operations, reporting, and strategy align with the overall business objectives. This role will focus on delivering value through strong financial management, operational efficiencies, capital allocation, and the execution of growth initiatives including retail marketing channel development and business development (M&A) oversight and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1 0+ years of progressive experience in finance roles with experience in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of managing financial operations and driving financial performance in a similar industry.
  • Experience managing a due diligence process for acquisition targets.
  • Experience drafting investment memos and creating board ready materials on financial performance and M&A workstreams.
  • Prior experience working closely with private equity sponsors and working with all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems including financial modeling, accounting, and related platforms.
  • Customer service focus and mindset, putting our employees and Partners first, with excellent ability to communicate and develop relationships.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to improve things both big and small.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Operational Finance & Budgeting Lead all FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Oversee daily financial operations across partner companies, driving standardization of reporting, controls, and processes.
  • Own and drive the full annual budgeting process, including target setting, financial modeling, department collaboration, and executive presentation.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights to guide executive decision-making and business strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team, providing financial analysis, scenario modeling, and KPI dashboards to monitor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain timely, accurate financial reporting at monthly, quarterly, and annual levels.
  • Develop and continuously improve financial models that enhance visibility into company performance and profitability.
  • Partner with the Corporate Controller to manage month-end close, variance analysis, and financial consolidation.
  • Optimize working capital and cash flow forecasting to ensure liquidity and support business growth.
  • Identify trends and operational opportunities by analyzing key metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Leverage technology and financial systems to streamline reporting, improve data accuracy, and enable faster decision-making.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing FP&A and finance team focused on accuracy, insight, and impact.
  • Business Development (M&A) Oversee all aspects of the company’s business development (M&A) activities including managing the inbound deal desk with the M&A team.
  • Prepare investment memos, pitch decks, and strategic planning documents for executive leadership and board presentation on acquisition recommendations.
  • Ensure proper diligence is completed leveraging both internal and external resources.
  • See transactions through to close, working closely with the internal Growth and Strategy team to support post-acquisition integration and onboarding.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to execute the integration playbook and ensure alignment with operational, financial, and cultural objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (operations, marketing, HR) to align financial goals with broader business strategies.
