About The Position

The VP of Business Development will report directly to the Event Staging President and is expected to effectively interface often with other IMS Managers and Team Members, such as the Account Executives, Sales Managers, Operation Directors, and VP of Production Management, the position may work remote however will have a home base in Linwood, Pa. Position Accountabilities and Expectations: An independent, driven, and motivated thought leader expected to drive business opportunities by identifying prospective corporate clients and associations  Strong ability and desire to prospect and identify qualified new business opportunities, the competitive nature of those opportunities, and client budget. Comfortable and experienced with executive sales presentations and negotiations with C-level executives in Fortune 2000 organizations. Support all Esports activities and business with the appropriate team Developing quantifiable value propositions to prospects based on their individual needs. Making accurate and competent recommendations for proper prospect projections based on the potential pipeline. Contributing to the marketing materials, collaterals, advertising, and sponsorships that are intended to help develop the business. Promoting the highest quality image of IMS with employees, customers, vendors, and the community. Making suggestions based on awareness of the industry trends and maintaining focus on company growth objectives to achieve a superior position in the industry. Participate actively in the regular team and one-on-one meetings to ensure their success. Following the company handbook and policy, operate in compliance with all company policies. Ability to develop an annual business plan, specifically: realistic forecasts, identifying prospects, plan for growing existing customer base, realistic costs of sales to operate to meet the plan, and sales marketing programming. Ability to comply with and fulfill the necessary Activity Plan on behalf of IMS Sales Standards that include minimum monthly standards for quoted business and closed business, monthly calls and engagements, new business opportunities and new $100k Accounts.  Evolve the marketing materials and collaterals, lead marketing-related event planning, advertising, sponsorships, etc. Maintain awareness in the development of sound marketing strategies, monitor industry trends, attend conferences and maintain focus on company growth objectives with a goal of maintaining/achieving a superior position in the industry. What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing, plus five to ten years of experience in a technology sales position.  Experience developing net new business relationships to develop new business opportunities. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.  Proven proficiency in computer skills in CRM database management, adopting proprietary activity tracking systems, and also adopting new technology in an effort to achieve sales goals. Successful record of accomplishment of building and growing networking opportunities for the development of new business. Proven record of accomplishment of creating and executing a social media plan, which will support the development of New Business Opportunities. Proven ability to quantify, demonstrate, and prove value to clients continually. Customer-focused mindset; experience working directly with customers with a wide range of professional sophistication. Significant sales experience with Fortune 2000 corporations and prestigious institutions of higher education.  Excellent salesmanship, communication, and interpersonal skills; a consummate networker. Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by professional competence, integrity, and personal style. An ability to represent IMS at Industry events. An ability to demonstrate empathy, enabling open, transparent, and effective dialog with customers Drive, motivation, passion, and an exceptional personal work ethic. Able to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.
