About The Position

The Brand Guild is seeking a Vice President of Client Strategy - a senior leader who will shape, elevate, and steward the agency’s most important client relationships. The ideal candidate is a highly strategic thinker with exceptional EQ who thrives in integrated environments and brings a modern, collaborative approach to leading accounts and teams. This is a senior leadership role at The Brand Guild for someone who loves being at the center of big, integrated client work—and knows how to bring clarity, calm, and momentum to complex accounts. The VP of Client Strategy is a trusted partner to our most important clients and a connective force across PR, Creative/Social, Marketing, and Events. You’ll shape strategy, steward relationships, protect teams, and help define how our integrated model shows up in the world—especially as we continue to grow our NYC presence. Reporting to our Co-CEOs, this role is deeply “in” the work: guiding strategy, leading conversations, setting boundaries, and ensuring our largest accounts operate with excellence. Note: This position is based in The Brand Guild’s NYC office with 3 days/week in-office.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, integrated communications, client leadership; agency experience is a must
  • A proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary accounts
  • Exceptional communication skills and sound judgment
  • A desire to be “in” the work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving needs

Responsibilities

  • Own the client experience from onboarding through renewal; ensuring clarity, consistency, and best-in-class execution
  • Drive integrated brand and communications strategies that help clients grow, evolve, and lead their categories
  • Bring structure and clarity to how cross-disciplinary teams work together
  • Protect scope, timelines, and team boundaries
  • Partner on thoughtful account growth rooted in real value
  • Represent The Brand Guild in the NYC market and beyond
  • Collaborate with Growth team to elevate the agency’s reputation, thought leadership, and cultural presence
