About The Position

Envision Horizons is seeking a strategic, data-driven Vice President of Advertising to lead our multi-marketplace media organization across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other major retail media networks and marketplaces. This executive will oversee both endemic and non-endemic advertising opportunities across retail media networks and marketplaces, owning the vision, strategy, and performance of our advertising practice while partnering with clients and internal teams to drive profitable, scalable growth across all marketplace channels .

Requirements

  • 10+ years in digital advertising or performance marketing, including significant hands-on experience with retail media and marketplaces (Amazon Ads, Amazon DSP, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and similar platforms).
  • 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary media or advertising teams in an agency or high-growth eCommerce environment, with responsibility for hiring, coaching, and organizational design.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable growth for brands via marketplace media, including ownership of large budgets and revenue targets, with strong understanding of P&L levers, forecasting, and margin management.
  • Deep expertise in performance media metrics, experimentation, attribution, and incrementality across retail media networks, with high proficiency in analytics and BI/reporting tools.
  • Strong marketplace and eCommerce acumen, particularly across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other major marketplaces, including search, display, audience targeting, category dynamics, and retail readiness.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders, represent the agency externally, and build high-performing, distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the multi-marketplace advertising strategy across Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and other retail media networks (e.g., Ulta, Chewy, Instacart), including search, display, and DSP where applicable.
  • Lead and scale a high-performing advertising organization setting clear KPIs, operating rhythms, and career paths aligned to Envision Horizons’ growth goals.
  • Oversee end-to-end media planning and activation for client portfolios across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other marketplaces, ensuring campaigns align to objectives such as ROAS, TACOS, new-to-brand, and incremental revenue.
  • Champion a rigorous test-and-learn culture using marketplace data, first-party data, and advanced analytics to improve efficiency and drive cross-channel insights that compound instead of fragment.
  • Partner with Client Services leadership to develop full-funnel marketplace strategies, integrating retail readiness, SEO/content, promos, and inventory considerations into media planning.
  • Own the P&L for the advertising practice, including pricing and packaging of multi-marketplace services, revenue forecasting, staffing plans, and margin optimization.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with retail media partners (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and others) and ad tech vendors to unlock betas, joint business plans, and co-marketing.
  • Standardize best practices, playbooks, and QA processes for campaign setup, optimization, reporting, and experimentation across all marketplaces, ensuring consistency while allowing for channel-specific nuance.
  • Serve as an external thought leader on marketplace and retail media, representing Envision Horizons in executive client meetings, new business pitches, content, and industry events.
  • Monitor marketplace, retail media, and eCommerce trends (e.g., attribution changes, retail network expansions, new ad formats) to continuously evolve service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
