About The Position

At rEvolution, we pride ourselves on delivering award-winning business-building marketing, strategic consulting and media programs for our brand clients that are widely recognized throughout the global sports industry. rEvolution is seeking a VP, Media to join our growing global sports marketing agency. Reporting to the Global Head of Media & Analytics, you will provide departmental leadership, senior client partnership, and hands-on digital media expertise across our integrated marketing teams. This leader will shape the vision of rEvolution’s media offering for some key clients while driving excellence in planning, activation, measurement, and team development. You are equal parts strategist, operator, and relationship-builder who is comfortable in front of the C-suite, confident rolling up your sleeves with activation teams, and committed to elevating rEvolution’s media capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience guiding, planning and leading media strategy; ideally in an agency setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
  • 6+ years of management experience
  • Deep knowledge of digital media channels, including but not limited to social, search, display, programmatic, CTV, Video and other emerging channels.
  • A strong understanding of analytics to inform and validate planning and strategy.
  • History of identifying media opportunities, presenting them to clients, and executing.
  • Experience monitoring and recommending improvements to the entire media planning process.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Department Direction Lead and evolve rEvolution’s media vision, capabilities, and workflows.
  • Build, mentor, and resource a high-performing media team.
  • Partner with senior leadership and Business Development on pitches, new business, and agency growth initiatives.
  • Hands-On Media Strategy & Activation Drive omnichannel media strategy across search, social, display, programmatic, CTV, video, DOOH, and emerging platforms.
  • Stay hands-on with planning and activation for a portfolio of clients, reviewing strategies, pressure-testing plans, guiding optimizations, and stepping in directly on complex accounts when needed.
  • Oversee partner evaluation, negotiations, and tactical decision-making to ensure excellence and efficiency.
  • Continuously assess marketplace trends and technology to enhance the agency’s media offering.
  • Performance, Analytics & Optimization Apply advanced analytics, testing, and measurement frameworks to optimize campaigns.
  • Translate data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for clients and internal teams.
  • Client Leadership Lead senior-level client conversations, Weekly statues, QBRs, and high-level strategic presentations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through key media decisions and opportunities.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight Maintain oversight of budgets, scopes, staffing, financial health, and vendor relationships.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that support client and agency growth.
