About The Position

As a member of the professional staff, this position contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline area to support team and/or department business objectives. The VP, Marketing Programs is responsible for developing marketing programs to attract buyers and guests to the MVW group across the enterprise. The position will oversee the creation of the marketing package pipeline for MVW and have oversight for executing strategy, framework, policy and procedures for: Encore program, RSVP program “Return stay vacation packages”, Owner, guest, referral, new owner, PCI, and elite event programs, PCI owner arrival and guest check-in experiences, and Marketing programs tied to owner tour growth, new owner growth, and overall marketing performance. The position is based at the MVW Headquarters in Orlando, and reports into the VP Marketing Strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of broad marketing experience, preferably within the timeshare industry and with a history of addressing the needs of a large multi-product portfolio that serves the needs of multiple customer personas.
  • Experience managing large scale programs for multinational organizations.
  • Strategic thinking skills are a must.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate Marketing Program strategy at the EC and Board levels.
  • Thorough understanding of the key metrics and financial environment of Sales and Marketing in the Vacation Ownership business.
  • Strong analytical skills, research orientation, and experience transforming a vision into an operational plan.
  • Effective project management skills to support marketing programs, and fast-paced innovation cycles.
  • Experience managing communication, PR, and thought leadership programs in partnership with Centers of Expertise.
  • Excellent leadership and communications (written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to achieve results working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict.
  • Proven ability to independently identify and analyze problems/issues, assess risk, evaluate alternative solutions and recommend course of action.
  • A creative thinker who can test and integrate evolving technologies and channels into traditional methodology.
  • Proven ability to manage through influence and achieve results.
  • High integrity and high standards.
  • Ability to prioritize many competing alternatives and plans, balance internal customer needs with business priorities.
  • Proven success driving marketing strategies and plans.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% per annum.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field S&M leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the Marketing Program for all MVWC brands, products and services.
  • Measure the framework to ensure recommended programs drive measurable lead and pipeline growth.
  • Driving sales performance through stronger package program execution.
  • Set the strategy for the creation of scalable marketing programs for tour growth and lead generation growth to the sales operations, ensuring tour growth and tour quality.
  • Develop and / or enhance new owner acquisition strategies.
  • Develop and oversee Marketing Programs that effectively drive overall growth of the owner base and first-time buyers.
  • Owner engagement strategies that create new sales opportunity from dormant owners.
  • Drive owner usage/communication plans to support business needs.
  • Marketing efficiency through better structure, prioritization, and use of resources.
  • More consistent execution across markets.
  • Better visibility into program performance by market, segment, and event type.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing programs.
  • Work closely with Global Communications and Brand & Digital team members to develop PR and thought leadership approaches which advance the company’s brand and impact across all markets.
  • Ensure productive working relationships with internal business partners, external consultants, and vendors.
  • Partner and consult with internal agency teams and clients to provide comprehensive marketing program expertise and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with client and agency marketing, sales operations and finance teams to define forecasts, KPIs, goals, and reporting.
  • Develops operating plans and workable business processes for own department in alignment with function strategy.
  • Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results.
  • Typically influences work of cross-functional or extended teams.
  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk.
  • Presents alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.
  • Works to enhance the organization’s capabilities through effective staffing and development of others by: anticipating staffing requirements by comparing business needs with strengths and weaknesses of existing staff.
  • using appropriate MVW interviewing tools to hire the best managers available from inside or outside.
