Ping Identity is seeking a strategic and experienced executive to serve as our Vice President of Investor Relations. In this leadership role, you will own the company’s relationship with the investment community and act as the primary architect of our investment narrative. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and CEO, providing critical insights on market activity and shareholder feedback while leading the end-to-end earnings process. You will be responsible for crafting a compelling equity story that clearly articulates Ping Identity’s strategy, growth opportunities, and financial performance to current and prospective shareholders and analysts.

Requirements

  • Executive Experience: 10-15+ years of experience in Finance, Equity Research, or Investor Relations, with a proven track record of leading IR for a public technology company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA or CFA highly preferred.
  • Deep Financial Acumen: Expert-level understanding of financial statements, valuation models, and capital markets. Ability to translate complex financial data into a clear, strategic narrative.
  • Exceptional Communication: Superior business writing and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to script high-stakes executive communications and present with confidence to sophisticated financial audiences.
  • Strategic Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at the highest levels of the organization (CEO, CFO, Board) and across functions (Legal, Product, Sales, Marketing).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong command of SEC laws, securities disclosure requirements, and Regulation FD.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Investment Narrative: Develop and maintain a robust investor relations strategy and framework that articulates Ping Identity’s business model, financial performance, and long-term strategy to the capital markets.
  • Manage Analyst & Investor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with buy-side investors and sell-side analysts at major research firms. Act as the primary spokesperson for the financial community, ensuring accurate modeling and understanding of the company's value proposition.
  • Lead the Quarterly Earnings Cycle: Orchestrate the entire earnings process, including the drafting of press releases, earnings scripts, Q&A preparation, and supporting presentation materials in partnership with the CEO, CFO, and Legal/Communications teams.
  • Drive Competitive Intelligence: Oversee comprehensive competitive analysis and peer benchmarking. Provide executive leadership with real-time insights on market trends, valuation metrics, and perceived risks to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Execute Investor Engagement Strategy: Plan and execute a targeted investor marketing program, including roadshows, analyst days, investor conferences, and 1:1 meetings to diversify and strengthen the shareholder base.
  • Financial Modeling & Guidance: Partner with FP&A to oversee internal financial models and consensus estimates. Guide the executive team on financial guidance strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the SaaS and security landscape.
  • Executive Advisory: Serve as a feedback loop to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team regarding financial community perception, concerns, and investment trends.
