Position Summary The Vice President, Innovation and Transformation Office will lead the enterprise-wide transformation of One Xcel Energy Way, a Lean operating system, the enterprise Change Management function, and Robotic Process Automation center-of-excellence, driving strategic innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s transformation roadmap, overseeing governance and financial management, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategy. The VP will partner across business units to foster collaboration, accelerate change, and deliver measurable outcomes that enhance competitiveness and customer value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, information technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 12 years of experience related to utility, energy, or manufacturing industries that provides strong operational knowledge.
  • At least five years’ management/leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in strong interpersonal skills using active listening and ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Must build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to include executive level leadership, through presentations, coaching, and facilitation of teams.
  • Must take initiative and act as a change agent to achieve results.
  • Act and think organization-wide to support change.
  • Able to handle complex issues and conflict with a calm demeanor and uses facts to support decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in organizational leadership preferred.
  • Strongly prefer previous experience implementing Lean principles, continuous improvement, or other change management initiatives.
  • Extensive leadership experience in regulated industries, preferably electric and natural gas utilities.
  • Proven success in leading enterprise-wide transformation and innovation programs.
  • Deep expertise in Lean CI methodologies, process automation, and change management.
  • Strong track record of cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and governance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the One Xcel Energy Way enterprise transformation vision and strategy.
  • Align innovation initiatives with corporate objectives and market dynamics, driving value realization and impact.
  • Establish and govern enterprise transformation, including administration, financial management, and performance tracking.
  • Drive adoption of Lean Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and process automation.
  • Build organizational change capability, oversee enterprise change initiatives, and ensure change efforts integrate with enterprise culture and strategy
  • Partner across business areas to ensure alignment, integration of transformation priorities into business plans, and shared ownership of outcomes
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to accelerate execution and resolve complex challenges.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability through robust reporting and analytics.
  • Utilize operational and industry benchmarks to guide strategic decisions.
