About The Position

Reporting to the EVP, Total Rewards, the Vice President of Incentive Compensation will lead the strategic design, governance, and administration of sales incentive programs within the People team. This Incentive Compensation function will centralize incentive plan design, governance under the Incentive Compensation Committee (ICC), reporting, and communication for LPL’s sales organization. The VP will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, ensuring incentive programs drive growth, retention, and profitability while maintaining compliance and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation strategy, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales incentive design and governance.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • High integrity and sensitivity to confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Develop and implement sales incentive plans aligned with corporate objectives and growth strategies.
  • Benchmark market data to ensure competitive and effective compensation programs.
  • Provide governance oversight and risk evaluation in partnership with internal risk teams.
  • Program Transformation In partnership with Finance, lead the transformation initiative of the incentive compensation program to transition to a new Sales Performance Management system.
  • Manage vendor relationships through the setup of the new system.
  • Enable a successful transition to the new platform, including stakeholder communications and quality assurance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational rigor with the new platform.
  • Identify learning opportunities to upskill the team and identify areas of efficiency / team scaling to meet the demands of the growing business.
  • Operational Excellence Oversee administration of incentive programs, including design, audits, and reporting.
  • Lead quarterly preparation and presentation of executive materials for the ICC.
  • Manage and mentor a geographically distributed team of AVP/ Sr Analyst(s) / Analyst(s) responsible for operational execution of the incentive compensation program.
  • Continuous Improvement Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and centralization.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for sales leaders and employees on incentive plan matters.
