About The Position

The VP, Head of Workplace Solutions Communications is a highly visible leadership role that shapes how we tell our story and drive business outcomes. You will set the communications strategy for Workplace Solutions – which includes Lincoln’s Group Protection and Retirement Plan Services business lines. In this role you will partner with the Workplace Solutions President and Senior Leadership Team to translate business priorities into clear and compelling narratives and lead a team that delivers consistent internal and external communications across these two business lines. You will partner closely with senior leaders to protect and strengthen Lincoln’s reputation while helping employees, clients, and stakeholders understand what matters most and why.

Requirements

  • 12+ Years experience in corporate communications experience directly aligned to the specific responsibilities of this position.
  • 5+ Years of senior management experience in a large complex organization including influencing senior management and critical stakeholder responsibility.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment

Responsibilities

  • Leads the strategy, development, and delivery of executive and corporate communications that advance business priorities while protecting and elevating the Lincoln brand and reputation
  • Direct a team that develops and delivers robust internal communications across the Workplace Solutions organization, ensuring messages are clear, timely, and measurable
  • Provides strategic media relations expertise in support of Workplace Solutions
  • Provides executive communications counsel and support to the President of the Workplace Solutions organization
  • Builds trusted partnerships with executive management and senior business leaders to align communications plans to business goals and drive shared understanding
  • Brings thought leadership and fresh ideas to communications, translating complex topics into engaging stories that resonate with multiple audiences – including employees, partners, customers, and consumers
  • Stays current on emerging communications trends and best practices, assessing impact and incorporating new approaches into future strategies
  • Drives process improvements and operational efficiencies that improve quality, reduce workload, and strengthen how the team delivers at scale
  • Leads and supports change management and enterprise initiatives, helping leaders communicate through change with clarity and confidence
  • Sets priorities, goals, and performance expectations, evaluates outcomes, and takes action to meet and exceed standards
  • Develops talent through coaching, feedback, and stretch opportunities, and ensures the team has the capabilities and capacity to deliver results
  • Helps hire and retain top talent and builds a strong, modern communications function that can execute today while evolving for tomorrow
