About The Position

This role will lead the data, analytics, and AI capabilities for North America Operations (NAO), delivering transformational, secure, efficient, scalable, high performing and reliable services aligned to the needs of the business. In leading NAO’s Data Organization, this role will be responsible for creating and implementing the divisional data roadmap. The Divisional CDAO will work to support data architecture, data governance, and analytics capabilities, and drive the innovation of data usage across QBE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT Science or Statistical subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in executive leadership team across the division (risk, IT, P&L leadership, claims and UW).
  • Work with key business and IT stakeholders for the definition and implementation of NAO’s data & analytics roadmap.
  • Ensure oversight of end-to-end delivery of data, analytics and AI value chain to ensure business value is realized.
  • Setting and assuring data standards and best practice for NAO.
  • Set direction for the continual improvement of the NAO data culture.
  • Partner with Global CDAO organization to ensure enterprise alignment in data activities across QBE.
  • Co-delivering data transformation initiatives alongside NAO organizational CIO.
  • Collaborating with CIO organization for managing and delivering run and continuous improvement for Data Platforms.
  • Governing business led data change initiatives against strategy and roadmap.
  • Partner with T&T Directors on run and change activities that have a Data aspect
  • Define and implement data policies across NAO.
  • Define improved data processes, develop and implement a data quality framework and build data quality into the culture of the organization.
  • Optimize and govern the aggregation and productization of data across the division to better service clients, and the functions that serve our clients.
  • Implement and oversee Strategic Data & AI Governance; working with NAO EMB to align incentives to encourage data focused outcomes and manage data & AI risk.
  • Build, develop and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and external parties, as well as define and acquire emerging technology by partnering and being active in the data and analytics market.
  • Improve competitive analytical business capabilities; foster analytical innovation and promote the sharing of analytics knowledge and best practices.
  • Organize, engage, and lead a team of best practitioners who have corporate-wide knowledge and experience, as well as a shared vision, roadmap and accountability.
  • People management of multi-disciplinary talent covering data management and governance, data partnering, business intelligence and insights and AI practitioners.
