Prologis is seeking an ambitious and passionate VP of Grid Scale Storage Development - Americas to scale our utility scale battery energy storage systems for sale and distributed generation battery storage systems as part of our DG IPP. Strong experience with distributed battery energy storage systems (BESS) and utility scale storage and solar projects development from siting strategy to commercial operations along with wholesale energy markets and grid interconnections knowledge is required. The VP, Battery Storage Development is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and scaling the battery storage development function within Prologis. The individual will be responsible for originating, structuring, and preparing utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects for disposition, while maintaining strong alignment with corporate strategic, financial, regulatory, and reporting requirements. This person will also be leading the integration of BESS technology with other product offerings including BTM solar + battery, VPPs and stand alone DG projects. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, true project development experience, commercial and financial skills, stakeholder management, and comfort operating within a large corporate / public company environment.
