About The Position

Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control, and energy solutions at our company-owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. The Vice President of Global Supply Chain is responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of the company’s global sourcing and procurement organization. This role oversees the development and execution of supply chain strategies that optimize total acquisition cost, ensure supply continuity, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support the company’s global manufacturing and operational objectives. Reporting to this role are two Global Directors of Sourcing who manage commodity management teams responsible for procurement activities across key material and service categories. The VP will provide strategic leadership across the entire sourcing function, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational requirements, and long-term growth strategies. The Vice President will partner closely with Global Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and Commercial teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, strengthen supply chain resilience, and support product innovation across the company’s global footprint. This position is based in Clemmons, NC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or Finance required
  • Minimum of 18–20 years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience, with significant leadership responsibility in global sourcing organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing global supply chain strategies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership managing multi-level procurement organizations and developing high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex global supplier agreements and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze cost drivers, supply markets, and global economic factors.
  • Experience implementing supply chain risk management and supplier diversification strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global supply chain and sourcing strategy aligned with the company’s operational and financial goals.
  • Lead the organization’s long-term sourcing vision, including supplier network optimization, global sourcing strategy, and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Guide the development of 1–3 year commodity strategies led by the Global Directors and ensure alignment with company priorities such as cost reduction, innovation, cash flow, and supply continuity.
  • Drive initiatives focused on total acquisition cost reduction, including strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and global sourcing opportunities.
  • Drive strategic Make vs. Buy decisions in support of the global operations strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop two Global Directors of Sourcing and their teams of Commodity Managers.
  • Establish performance objectives, metrics, and accountability for procurement teams globally.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on data-driven decision making, strategic negotiation, and supplier partnership development.
  • Build organizational capabilities across procurement, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Oversee strategic supplier relationships and executive-level negotiations with key global suppliers.
  • Ensure supplier agreements support cost competitiveness, quality performance, innovation, and supply continuity.
  • Drive cost improvement initiatives across the supply base through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supply chain optimization.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce tariff exposure and logistics costs through nearshoring, reshoring, and geographic supply diversification.
  • Oversee the competitive bidding proceess
  • Key member of the Global Enterprise Simplification steering team
  • Establish strategies that strengthen supply chain resiliency and mitigate risk across regions, suppliers, and materials.
  • Ensure diversification of supply sources and reduce reliance on single suppliers or regions for critical materials.
  • Monitor global market conditions, geopolitical risks, and economic factors affecting supply chain stability.
  • Collaborate with the global hedging council to deploy supply chain hedging strategies that minimize risks and cost volatility
  • Partner with Global Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Transportation to align sourcing strategies with production and product development needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost performance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Legal on contract management, trade compliance, regulatory compliance and other legal matters.
  • Support product development initiatives through early supplier engagement and strategic sourcing alignment.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for procurement performance including cost savings, supplier performance, risk exposure, inventory velocity, and DPO (Days Payable Outstanding) and supply continuity.
  • Establish Supplier Approval and Stratification Process (Maintain, Grow, Exit)
  • Facilitate and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with key strategic supply partners
  • Oversee global spend analysis and supplier performance reporting.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and systems to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.
