About The Position

As the VP of Finance, you will be the hands-on leader for building, maturing and scaling our financial operations. You will partner closely with the Executive Team owning the complete financial trajectory from long-range capital planning and M&A evaluation to granular, driver-based FP&A and operational finance. This role requires a leader with dual expertise: world-class strategic thinking paired with the rigorous execution and compliance required to optimize, mature, and scale our existing high-caliber finance function. You will own the process, the numbers, and the narrative, ensuring we achieve profitable, sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role at a venture-backed, high-growth startup (Series B-D preferred).
  • Technical Rigor: Deep, demonstrable mastery of FP&A, modeling, budgeting, and performance management, specifically within a SaaS or subscription business model.
  • Accounting Foundation: Strong technical accounting foundation (CPA or Public Accounting experience strongly preferred) to ensure compliant and scalable operational oversight.
  • Capital Strategy: Proven experience leading or significantly supporting successful financing rounds and defining capital allocation strategy.
  • Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills, a "Roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, and the willingness to switch fluidly between high-level strategy and in-the-weeds execution.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into a clear, compelling, and actionable narrative for all stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or dedicated Strategic Planning/Pricing roles.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare/health-tech sector.
  • Expertise with implementing and integrating major financial systems/ERPs.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Vision: Partner directly with the CEO and Executive Team to define, articulate, and execute the company’s multi-year financial strategy, including capital allocation, scaling models, and market positioning.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead all financial aspects of future financing rounds. Own the financial narrative, models, and diligence process; prepare and present results to the Board of Directors and current/prospective investors.
  • Corporate Development: Work closely with the CEO on high-impact strategic initiatives, including evaluating, modeling, and executing M&A and other significant corporate development opportunities.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Act as the Executive Team’s trusted analytical partner, evaluating growth opportunities, challenging assumptions, and providing the financial insights required for major strategic pivots.
  • Accounting Oversight: Oversee all accounting operations, including the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • System & Process Scalability: Own the optimization and enhancement of existing core financial systems and workflows, ensuring seamless integration and performance as transaction volume and complexity grow.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Review, refine, and enforce best-in-class internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures to enhance audit readiness (e.g., SOC 2, pre-IPO) and mitigate risk.
  • End-to-End FP&A: Own the full FP&A lifecycle, including the creation, maintenance, and defense of the annual budget, operating plan, and long-range financial model.
  • Performance Metrics & KPIs: Define, implement, and track the key operational and financial KPI frameworks (e.g., SaaS metrics, unit economics, payback periods) that drive company performance and accountability.
  • Commercial Strategy: Partner deeply with Product and Go-To-Market teams to develop and refine pricing strategies, business models, and contract terms to optimize profitability and customer lifetime value (LTV).
  • Forecasting & Variance Analysis: Design and implement robust, driver-based forecasting and lead variance analysis to ensure the business meets its financial commitments.

Benefits

  • Up to 100% employer-paid health benefits for you (depending on plan selection) and generous coverage for your family.
  • Employer-funded 401(k) contribution to help you build a secure future.
  • Mental health benefits to support your well-being.
  • Receive employee equity, ensuring you share in the company’s success.
  • Access 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave, so you can focus on what matters most.
