About The Position

The Vice President / Director of Collections Strategy & Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing enterprise strategies supporting Debt Settlement Agency (DSA) Collections and Recovery channels. This role partners closely with Operations, Analytics, Finance, Product, and Technology to drive performance outcomes, improve customer experience, and ensure compliance across DSA-related collections activities. The position leads strategic direction and analytical prioritization across pre-collections and collections activities associated with customers engaging third-party settlement and resolution options. Responsibilities include balancing recovery effectiveness, operating expense, regulatory expectations, and reputational considerations. This role plays a key leadership position within a highly collaborative environment and is expected to drive strategic transformation, optimization, and ongoing innovation across DSA collections strategies and supporting analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in consumer lending, credit risk, or collections strategy, preferably supporting resolution-based recovery channels
  • 4+ years of leadership experience building and managing teams
  • Advanced analytical skillset using SAS, SQL, R, and/or Python
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the strategic vision, objectives, and multi-year roadmap for DSA Collections Strategy aligned to enterprise loss mitigation goals
  • Develop, test, and optimize collections strategies that balance recovery performance, operating expense, vendor effectiveness, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead portfolio-level strategy decisions through data-driven analysis, experimentation, and performance monitoring
  • Partner closely with Operations, Analytics, Product, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to translate strategy into execution
  • Independently lead complex analytical initiatives from conception through implementation
  • Establish and manage learning agendas supporting continuous improvement and disciplined testing
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and influence cross-functional decision-making
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
