As Vice President of Corporate Development, you will help shape the company's future growth through strategic M&A initiatives. This position will lead T-Mobile's M&A and Corporate Venture activities by negotiating complex, multi-billion dollar transactions from start to finish, partnering closely with senior executives across the business. They will lead a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for identifying prospective target opportunities, performing strategic and quantitative analysis, conducting due diligence, determining appropriate valuation and structure, developing strategy for and conducting negotiations, and driving activities to closure. This leader will be a highly motivated, self- driven professional with the ability to think broadly and strategically about an industry, apply it to T-Mobile's business and make informed, analytics-based recommendations to drive acquisition and investment decisions.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of increasing levels of responsibility and demonstrated leadership experience in corporate development with experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or finance, leading mergers and acquisitions, valuation, financial modeling, and strategic analysis.
  • Deep experience managing the end to end M&A process along with d iverse experience in technology, banking, telecom, or finance.
  • Strong analytical, financial and strategic background, coupled with relevant operational and technical experience and negotiation / people skills.
  • Successful track record of leading cross-functional projects, negotiating complex transactions ($2+B), and working closely with senior leadership on long-term corporate strategy.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Experience in venture or corporate ventures is preferred.
  • Strong banking and technology industry relationships and understanding of the industry landscape, competitive dynamics, and partnership ecosystems that will drive growth for TMUS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead merger & acquisition projects including contract negotiations and financial and technical analysis, due diligence efforts, and develops bid strategies and proposals for internal and external communication.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Executive Leadership Team on M&A, partnerships, and overall corporate strategy; support leadership for T-Mobile board presentations and industry forums.
  • Evaluates and negotiates complex, multi-billion-dollar transactions with 3rd party vendors, bankers and Director/VP/C-level counterparts at target companies.
  • Evaluates new business opportunities, including acquisitions and investments; analyzes business plans and market potential and develops valuation support, through the lens of financing options, market risks and likelihood of execution.
  • Negotiates investments and shareholder rights; prepares approval papers for Board of Directors.
  • Aid in the long-term ecosystem development and financial returns along with commercial benefits by striking favorable commercial agreements as part of an equity investment in partner companies.
  • Research, build and grow a pipeline for ongoing M&A activity.
  • Lead, manage and develop the Corporate Development team of highly skilled negotiators and professionals.
