About The Position

The Vice President of Communications will lead the vision and execution of a cohesive internal communications approach that advances the organization’s strategy, culture, and business priorities. This role drives alignment and engagement by unifying messaging across teams and business units, introducing innovative channels and formats, and ensuring employees clearly understand how their work connects to the company’s purpose and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, with extensive program execution experience
  • Exceptional writing and speaking skills.
  • Well respected executive presence, organizational skills and propensity for overachievement.
  • Agile mindset and willingness to lean in on unpredictable matters at unpredictable times.
  • Creative with a high bar for quality.
  • Fortitude for dynamic fast-paced environment that embraces change
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communication strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive, department-wide communication strategies, frameworks, calendars, creative initiatives and measurable outcomes that support the company and department goals, mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.
  • Be the primary integrator of all team engagement touchpoints, developing communication strategies and memorable/measurable tactics.
  • Coordinate across multiple business units to ensure consistent, clear and frequent messaging that connects the daily purpose of employee’s work with the company’s mission and values.
  • Create new platforms, methods, and artifacts to drive higher engagement with need to know/want to know/actionable messaging.
  • Serve as editor in chief and publisher for the department’s internal messaging, responsible for delivering high quality content distributed in ways that value our employees’ time and attention.
  • Be a creator, bringing innovative ideas to the forefront and championing a test/learn culture that lives up to the brand attributes and cultural values of the firm.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure consistent, clear and concise messaging and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Partner with HR, Communications, Talent Acquisition, Culture and Engagement, and other organizations to represent the voice of the employee internally and externally.
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and adjust strategies as needed to improve engagement and impact.
  • Serve as a partner and trusted advisor to leadership colleagues and senior leadership on internal communication matters.
