Preferred Qualifications The Business Systems Analyst III performs systems analysis assignments with varying degrees of supervision. The Business Systems Analyst III also provides complex technical business support to clients that utilize small/midsize/enterprise level systems. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business lines to gather, analyze, and document requirements. Write detailed business and functional specifications for internal and external system interfaces. Lead requirements workshops and create artifacts such as data flow diagrams, process models, and message mapping documents. Define and document BDD-style requirements with precise acceptance criteria to guide development and validation. Translate internal business needs into clear deliverables and contractual language for vendors. Partner with vendors, solution designers, and engineers to align on design, API behaviours, data formats, and exception handling. Assist in testing efforts through scenario definition, defect triage, and requirements traceability. Provide business context and analysis support during investigation of production issues. Ensure all work aligns with internal ITIL-based change and release management processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of templates, standards, and integration documentation practices. Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with direct involvement in system build and integration projects. 3+ years of experience in the Trade Finance and Working Capital business domain. Strong understanding of how systems and integrations support banking workflows. Experience working with a mix of integrations types: APIs, batch file transfers, and message queues. Familiarity with tools like Postman to test or inspect APIs and review Json/XML payloads. Knowledge of mainframe integration patterns, including batch processing and flat file exchanges. Comfort reading system logs and assisting with root cause analysis in support of Level 3 investigations. Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies. Strong documentation skills, especially with BDD-style requirements and vendor-facing specifications. Working knowledge of ITIL processes and change management practices in enterprise environments. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or equivalent. Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
