About The Position

Are you a proven commercial deposit producer with a passion for delivering high-impact Treasury solutions? nbkc bank is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven VP, Business Banker to expand our commercial deposit portfolio and serve as a trusted advisor to business clients. In this role, you’ll blend business development, Treasury Management expertise, and relationship management to win new commercial clients while deepening partnerships with existing ones. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Banking/Financial Services, with a strong background in:
  • Commercial deposit growth
  • Treasury Management sales and underwriting
  • Commercial or business banking relationship management
  • A track record of exceeding deposit and revenue goals
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury products, bank regulations, and compliance
  • Exceptional communication skills across in-person, phone, and email interactions
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • High School Diploma (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with nCino or Salesforce
  • Experience underwriting or selling commercial and consumer loan products
  • Professional certifications: AAP, APRP, CTP

Responsibilities

  • Grow commercial deposits and treasury revenue by proactively calling on prospects and expanding relationships within your market.
  • Generate high-quality leads using internal data, market intelligence, COIs, and your established professional network.
  • Develop and deliver compelling Treasury/Business Solutions proposals, including pricing and terms that align with client needs and bank goals.
  • Partner with Commercial Lenders and Business Development Officers to design comprehensive solutions during pre-proposal conversations.
  • Serve as the internal expert on Treasury Solutions, leading presentations, joint calls, and strategic planning for complex opportunities.
  • Manage onboarding for new and expanded relationships to ensure a seamless, high-touch client experience.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services through strong internal collaboration with branch teams and other partners.
  • Build and maintain deep client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor for businesses across various industries.
  • Champion compliance and operational excellence while managing your sales pipeline and delivering regular reporting.
  • Collaborate with Business Solutions Operations to ensure clients receive effective service and ongoing support.
