About The Position

Job Summary: The Vice President of Business Operations is responsible for the daily management and operational activities of the Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group (Acclaim). This position leads and oversees the development of operating and strategic plans that align with JPS Health Network's mission and goals. The Vice President of Business Operations will serve as the dyad partner for the Vice President of Clinical Services and creates an environment of collaboration, respect, transparency, and accountability, fostering opportunities for personal growth and professional excellence within Acclaim. The Vice President of Business Operations is an integral part of the Acclaim leadership team and works collaboratively and in partnership with the Acclaim Physician Board. Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities: Provides strategic and operational leadership for Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group. Monitors, evaluates, and improves operations to ensure the delivery of the Multi-Specialty Group's commitment to consistently provide safe, timely, efficient, equitable, and high-quality patient-centered care. Develops, in collaboration with Acclaim Leadership, Physician Chairs, and Physician Board, short and long-range goals, and plans to define responsibilities and business activities consistent with JPS goals, objectives, and mission. Oversees and adjusts processes and operations as necessary to ensure efficient and effective execution of policies and procedures. Monitors, evaluates and adjusts business processes and operations as necessary to ensure efficient and effective execution of policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group leadership to reduce costs, enhance revenues, optimize utilization, and deliver on quality goals and objectives. Analyzes and utilizes information to develop and support strategic and operational decisions for Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group that align with JPS Health Network's strategy to transform healthcare delivery. Reviews and approves financial reports, budgets, contracts, and major expenditures and helps negotiate provider contracts. Provides leadership for developing and managing the operating budget for Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group in partnership with Acclaim's VP of Finance. Develops and fosters effective collaboration between clinical providers, divisions, leadership, staff, and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital) to ensure an integrated approach in supporting the operational, financial, and clinical performance improvement of JPS Health Network. Collaborates with other executives regarding major medical group decisions, process changes, and projects. Works with health network partners to build awareness and comply with group regulatory standards and practices. Aligns patient survey results with network initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement. Applies critical analysis and creative thinking to understand each service line's contributions to the organization and the patient experience—looking for innovation and growth opportunities. Serves as a resource to Department Administrators for operational issues and help to ensure departmental alignment with Acclaim's mission, goals, and initiatives. Oversees major workforce and resource decisions for Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group. Promotes Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group and may act as the organization's public face. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 10 years of experience in progressively responsible management of hospital operations.
  • Experience in leading strategic planning initiatives.
