You can expect a starting salary of $ 65,665.60 - $82,118.40 depending on years of experience in Volunteer Administration or a related field . Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in volunteer administration, event planning, or related areas.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, budgeting, and records management.
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends for events.
  • Valid Missouri driver's license (or ability to obtain).

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all operations of the Volunteer Services Division, including oversight in office and off-site locations.
  • Hire, train, assign, and supervise division personnel.
  • Develop and implement recruitment, training, and retention strategies.
  • Create and maintain budgets, manuals, policies, schedules, and training materials.
  • Prepare program statistics, performance measurements, and outcome reports.
  • Develop volunteer opportunities for City departments and community service days.
  • Manage ongoing and episodic volunteers, including screening and placement.
  • Oversee media posts, presentations, and volunteer events.
  • Maintain confidential volunteer records and ensure safety compliance.
  • Recognize volunteers through awards, communications, and media coverage.
  • Build partnerships with nonprofits, schools, businesses, and civic organizations.
  • Research trends in volunteer management and apply best practices.
