About The Position

Incumbent coordinates the Metro Volunteer Program; identifies tasks to be performed by the volunteer staff; recruits volunteers; assigns volunteers; and coordinates the use of volunteers throughout the Department and valley-wide special events. Requirements

• Three years' experience developing and administering structured programs to include, involvement in budget, staffing, and goal setting.
• Associate's degree in Public or Business Administration, a Social or Behavioral Science, or a related field.
• Be a citizen/naturalized citizen or permanent resident alien without conditions on status of the United States of America by the date of the first test instrument
• Be at least 18 years old by the date of the first test instrument

Nice To Haves

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Administration or Business Administration, a Social or Behavioral Science, or a related field.
• More than three years of responsible experience developing and administering structured programs.
• Hands on experience monitoring a complex budget of a program.
• Experience working with 501(c)(3) organizations and seeking donations.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• The willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, when necessary.
• Experience collaborating with multiple entities to accomplish a common goal.
• Experience with recognizing and rewarding others for their performance.
