About The Position

Volunteer Coordinator River Garden Senior Services, an award-winning not-for-profit care community, is seeking a dynamic and organized Volunteer Coordinator to lead and manage our volunteer program. This full-time, exempt position is responsible for recruiting, orienting, training, and coordinating volunteers to support our agency’s mission and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, highly organized, and knowledgeable about Jewish culture and traditions.

Requirements

  • Prior experience coordinating volunteer programs required
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and familiarity with the Jewish faith required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and volunteer management systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies
  • Conduct volunteer orientation and training
  • Coordinate volunteer placements to meet agency needs
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records, schedules, and communications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers
  • Foster positive relationships and ensure meaningful volunteer experiences
  • Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions through engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and support program needs
