About The Position
NFI North is dedicated to providing accessible mental and behavioral health services, fostering a sense of belonging for individuals facing life challenges. They design diverse and innovative programs that offer structured care within communities. The goal is to help people grow, find hope, thrive in their community, and feel like they belong. This specific role is for a Vocational Specialist within an adult transitional housing program in Lewiston, ME. This residential program provides care and transitional services to seven homeless young adults living with mental health challenges in the Lewiston Area. The program aims to offer residential housing and essential support for successful independent living, including Daily Living Support Services, Skills Development Services, and Community Integration Services.

- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or related field
- One to three plus years’ experience with adults living with behavioral health challenges

Responsibilities
- Provide vocational assessment and employment preparedness through training and education for each participant of the Program
- Develop and implement curriculum suitable for participant participating in the employment training program
- Coordinate and assist with all vocational/employment services
- Monitor participant on the job to act as role model and support while assessing skill areas
- Provide direct care to program participants
- Provide participant transportation with company vehicle
