About The Position

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1+ years of prior work experience required, experience in material handling
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work in controlled environments and follow strict compliance procedures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Clear communication and customer service orientation.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience in a warehouse environment, including use of powered industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day inventory operations using Inventory Manager software and maintaining accurate digital records of all materials.
  • Perform routine cycle counts in a laboratory environment to ensure precise inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and support audit‑ready documentation and compliance with established SOPs.
  • Prepare, load, and secure materials for transport on a company moving truck, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and safe handling of all items.
  • Drive between multiple company sites to pick up and deliver materials, adhering to all transportation, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Unload materials at destination sites and stage items in designated storage or work areas while verifying deliveries and reporting any damaged or missing items.
