About The Position

The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for leading visual merchandising execution for Moncler’s 5th Avenue flagship, ensuring the highest standards of brand presentation, storytelling, and commercial effectiveness. This role operates at the intersection of store leadership and regional visual merchandising strategy, partnering closely with the Store Director while maintaining strong alignment with the Director of Visual Merchandising. To support a successful launch, the position will begin onboarding at the Moncler Madison Avenue boutique, allowing the incumbent to immerse themselves in Moncler’s visual standards, operational rhythms, and flagship-level execution. Following this onboarding period, the role will transition to the 5th Avenue flagship in preparation for the grand opening this summer. As a flagship location, 5th Avenue demands precision, consistency, and elevated execution. The Visual Merchandising Manager plays a critical role in translating global visual direction into impactful in-store experiences that elevate the client journey and reinforce Moncler’s brand positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree is acceptable; portfolio to support previous work history is accepted.
  • 5+ years of visual merchandising experience, ideally within luxury or premium retail.
  • People management experience, including direct supervision and coaching
  • Highly client-focused professional with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrates polished professional presence and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Skilled in tailoring messaging to suit diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and impact in various settings.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a talent for prioritizing critical tasks in high-pressure situations.
  • Creative problem-solver with a results-driven mindset, maintaining high ethical standards and quality in execution.
  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), and various visual merchandising tools.
  • Physically able to support merchandising efforts, including occasional lifting and setting up of displays and props.

Responsibilities

  • Execute global and regional visual merchandising guidelines with excellence, ensuring full alignment with Moncler brand standards.
  • Translate seasonal concepts, product storytelling, and campaigns into compelling in-store presentations.
  • Ensure all windows, floor sets, mannequins, fixtures, and signage are maintained to flagship standards at all times.
  • Act as a guardian of visual consistency, proactively identifying and correcting deviations.
  • Directly manage and develop one Visual Merchandising Expert, providing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.
  • Set clear priorities, standards, and expectations for daily and seasonal VM execution.
  • Foster strong collaboration with store leadership and sales teams to support visual excellence and client experience.
  • Partner with the Store Director and leadership team to align visual merchandising with commercial priorities, product focus, and sell-through opportunities.
  • Leverage visual merchandising to support key business moments, peak traffic periods, and client activations.
  • Monitor product density, flow, and zoning to ensure an optimal balance between brand storytelling and commercial performance.
  • Serve as the primary visual merchandising partner for the 5th Avenue store leadership team.
  • Maintain close alignment with the Regional VM Manager, Northeast to ensure consistency with regional strategy and execution.
  • Provide feedback and insights from the flagship store to regional and corporate VM teams.
  • Support major resets, special projects, and high-visibility activations as required.
  • Partner with Operations to plan and execute visual moves efficiently while minimizing disruption to the business.
  • Ensure VM tools, props, and materials are properly maintained, organized, and used responsibly.
  • Follow all health, safety, and operational guidelines during installations and floor changes.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach, actively supporting activities that contribute to overall business goals.
  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment, encouraging open communication and cooperation across teams and with management.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, setting a professional example in conduct and performance.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.
