About The Position

This position is responsible for creating new, maintaining existing and updating old versions of all company materials (printed and digital workbooks, animated PPTs, video assets, motion graphics and captions, interactive eLearning materials, emails, digital ads and more) using page layout, design and video editing software and output devices. They will work in a team and cross-departmentally with designers, copywriters, video producers and proofreaders to create and continuously update a variety of print, digital and video materials. This is a critical role on the Content/Production team as SkillPath works to establish and maintain their brand strategy and refreshes hundreds of pieces of existing content.

Requirements

  • BS/BA/AA degree preferred, with emphasis in Graphic Arts, Commercial Graphics or equivalent
  • One year of on-the-job print production experience
  • Above average knowledge of Adobe InDesign, a basic knowledge of other CS software including Photoshop and Illustrator. Basic knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, etc) and ability to work in Salesforce and other Project Management platforms. Proficient in English and ability to recognize and use correct language, word usage, and an above average spelling ability. Working skills in design layout and composition. Basic math skills and basic geography skills. Some experience in 4-color process production, including but not limited to recognizing and manipulate 4-color images, layered PDFs and color separations. Organization and management of multiple tasks and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Typing skill of 35 wpm with accuracy. The ability to produce error-free work on a consistent basis following department guidelines. Be detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to accurately read copy, including as small as 6 pt. type and have the ability to communicate with others.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Be able to think and act independently and with supervision.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand copy; recognize correct spelling, grammar, usage and structure; perceive and differentiate color; read and understand dictionaries and resource materials, both printed and electronic. Must be able to produce error-free work consistently.
  • Must be able to meet multiple deadlines, be highly detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and other internal/external contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Download files from company database, type input and manipulation, font matching, styles and specs used where needed, manipulation of any relevant artwork, adding/checking accessibility standards, creating interactive PDFs and facilitating the output and delivery of files, archiving jobs and managing hard copy paperwork if necessary.
  • Input or import text, choose font styles, create relevant artwork and follow established specifications and branding guidelines for all document and materials construction.
  • Maintain working files and assist in archiving all jobs in an organized, complete and accessible state, with files accessible and usable by all team members.
  • Be involved in day-to-day operations of tracking ongoing work, scheduling time to accomplish daily tasks on schedule and understanding general workflow needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
