About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic Visitors’ Experience Representative to provide an excellent guest experience. This position will rotate between our check-in desk, tasting bar, and retail store as well as lead guided experiences throughout the facility. A passion for working with the public and a willingness to be cross trained on all three positions is required. Must be able to work efficiently in a high-paced setting. This is an hourly plus tips position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Must be a self-motivator and a strong team player
Willing to learn new skills
Ability to speak and write fluent English
Positive attitude a must
Must have problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task
Ability to work enthusiastically with a wide demographic of guests
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Detail and outcome orientated with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Reliable transportation to the assigned workplace.

Responsibilities

Provide a best-in-class consumer experience from introduction to departure while educating about Bardstown Bourbon Company blend of classic and modern bourbon practices and innovative techniques in an engaging manner.
Must be willing to cross-train for check-in desk, tasting bar, and retail store.
Greet and check-in guests for tours and tastings.
Responsible for checking guests’ ID to confirm legal drinking age of 21.
Ensure that the tasting room is set up properly, stocked, and always clean.
Keep the tasting room and area clean, i.e., wipe down bar surfaces, sweep and mop floors (when spills happen), remove and clean used glassware, clean coolers and storage areas, and empty trash receptacles, if full.
Create enthusiastic Bardstown Bourbon Company brand followers.
Maintain the knowledge to answer questions regarding our experiences and accurately explain our homeplace in Bardstown, KY.
Maintain and execute the highest health standards, sanitation and cleanliness in the beverage/bar area to meet local, state and government guidelines.
Strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors and driving while under the influence.
Ensure a clean, safe environment for all guests and staff.
Maintain, monitor, and restock restrooms throughout shift.
Set up and clean up tasting bar.
Must be willing to participate in continuous training and educational opportunities offered by Bardstown Bourbon Company
Must learn Bardstown Bourbon Company practices and products.
Must be willing to take the company-paid course and become a certified Stave & Thief Executive Bourbon Steward
Commitment to the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
Must have FUN and be positively engaged with our visitors in every capacity!
Required to be STAR or TIPS certified through the KY ABC Department within 30 days of employment. This course is company paid.
