Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
  • Cannot be delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise, and observe direct reports responsible for regularly occurring general campus tours across a variety of campus visitation programs and constituents, as well as GCU Day operations.
  • Examines scripts, routes, and other tour elements regularly, ensuring all facets operate to further the quality of visitation experience, provide accurate details, and meet the unique needs of each respective tour group.
  • Examine behavioral practices, engagement strategies, and visitor interaction regularly during GCU Day operations, ensuring all facets invite enthusiasm about GCU and its community/atmosphere.
  • Provides direct reports with on-going training, mentorship, and professional development to consistently enrich their acumen and enjoyment of the role, relying on a variety of training methods.
  • Lateral coordination point for GCE-GCU events and marketing groups to include support of, but not limited to, Campus Tour Plus, Meet GCU and other visitation efforts.
  • Regularly reviews feedback for general tour optimization and hosting operations central to visitor interaction throughout GCU Day’s events and provides supervisor with recommendations on improvement.
  • Provides supervisor with qualitative feedback about challenging, unique, and/or sensitive subjects prompted by guests, implementing standards of response that align with partner organization’s mission and brand.
  • Assists in handling advanced visitor inquiries, complaints, and emergencies.
  • Ensures employee conduct, uniforms, and personal hygiene requirements are established, understood, and enforced.
  • Adhere to all University and/or Department of Education policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
