Emphasis will be placed on magnetic and superconducting materials, including those based on rare-earths and actinide elements, as well as hydride and super-hydride intermetallics. The research will leverage the unique capabilities of POLAR and HPCAT beamlines, and the expertise of the Magnetic Materials group members. These activities will take place in the context of his Ph.D. thesis, which will be carried out under joint supervision with Prof. Rus Hemley of UIC.
