The DOE UNLP-funded internship at the APS, hosted by the Materials Physics and Engineering (MPE) group, will assist in the commissioning of the High Energy X-ray Microscope (HEXM) beamline. The candidate will work with MPE group members as well as Argonne's Activated Materials Laboratory personnel to deliver in situ thermo-mechanical load capability, with the nuclear science and engineering applications and user support in mind. The candidate will also work on reconstruction and analysis of high energy x-ray diffraction data acquired at HEXM to exercise the reconstruction and analysis pipeline. Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Applicants must be: Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution. Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
