About The Position

The College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Visiting Researcher position to work in the laboratory of Dr. Esperanza Carcache de Blanco. The candidate is expected to be able to perform research in the areas of in vitro and in vivo biological evaluation of natural products, isolation and structural characterization of natural products, and chemical modification, if necessary. Expertise in cell culture, protein expression, bioassay design and drug screening is highly recommended. This position requires experience in molecular biology (e.g., Western blotting, PCR etc.), in addition to natural products chemistry techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, etc.). Candidates should have a publication record in natural products research and be willing to work in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include performing research, writing research publications and grants, and training students. The position is available immediately and will be initially offered for one year with the possibility of renewal dependent upon successful research progress and availability of funds.
