The Visiting Instructor of Chemistry will be responsible for teaching undergraduate level courses in Chemistry. We are seeking applicants interested in teaching undergraduate freshman and sophomore level Chemistry classes, including laboratories. This is a nine-month non-tenure track position and governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree (MS or MA) in Chemistry.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in Chemistry.
  • Teaching experience at the College or University level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate sophomore and freshman level Chemistry classes, including laboratories
  • Implement teaching strategies focusing on student success and retention
  • Curriculum development and implementation
  • Participation in outreach activities
  • Service activities to the program, school, college, university, and community
  • Student advising
  • Performs other duties relevant to the position as assigned.
