About The Position

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Villanova University is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor position. This is a one-semester appointment for Spring 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Requirements

• The candidate must hold an earned doctorate or master's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Prior teaching experience is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of undergraduate teaching experience.
• Strong teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• The primary responsibility is teaching up to 12 contact hours per semester with two new preparations.
• Candidates from all teaching areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be considered, with particular emphasis on those specializing in machine learning, cybersecurity, analog & digital electronics, and digital communications.
• The candidate is also expected to maintain a presence on campus and be responsive to students as a member of the faculty for the duration of the appointment.
