About The Position

Wilkes University invites applicants for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychology to begin August 2026. The position is open area, with a preference for candidates who can teach Cognitive Psychology courses. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 24-credit load over two semesters (4-4 load), including Cognitive Psychology, courses in their specialty area, and general departmental courses such as Introductory Psychology and capstone sequence courses. The Department of Psychology comprises six full-time faculty members who are student and teaching-focused. The university seeks a candidate committed to undergraduate teaching, with evidence of teaching effectiveness, and who will be an active member of the department, involved in student and service activities. Preference is given to candidates who embrace the University's culture of developing mentoring relationships. Requirements
