Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina, welcomes applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Nonfiction for the 2026–27 academic year. The Department of Creative Writing is a dynamic and supportive learning community, with a focus on revision, research, and ethical issues within the discipline, as well as experimentation with form, genre, and style. The mission of the Creative Writing major is to provide opportunities for students to create original work and to expand their understanding of contemporary literature within a community of creative writers. This is a 10-month teaching position with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026, and an end date of May 31, 2027, with a possibility of a one-year renewal.
