The Department of Decision Sciences and Economics at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) is seeking applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track, Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Economics, starting in Fall 2026. This role is pivotal in the strategic launch of a new interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence curriculum, requiring the successful candidate to integrate economic theory with applied Artificial Intelligence (AI), including predictive machine learning, Generative AI systems, econometrics, and data analytics. The position is located at the Corpus Christi campus. The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree in Economics, Data Analytics, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research excellence. Responsibilities include teaching core Economics courses and shaping new curriculum in areas such as Applied Machine Learning for Business, AI Strategy, and Generative AI prototyping. Teaching duties will span undergraduate and graduate levels and may involve a combination of in-person, online, and HyFlex course delivery.
