CGI Federal is seeking a Virtualization Specialist to support VMware, VCF, Horizon, and Hyper V virtualization infrastructures for a large federal agency. This position is located in Baltimore, MD

Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
Bachelor's degree +7 years of relevant IT experience
Advanced VMware administration experience (ESXi, VCF, Horizon).
Hyper V configuration and Windows Server virtualization.
Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities.
Understanding of SAN/NAS storage and network configurations.

Nice To Haves

Experience with large scale federal virtualization environments.
Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening (STIG, NIST).

Responsibilities

Configure and support VMware ESXi 7+, VCF, Aria operations, vCenter, and Horizon.
Support Windows Server 2022/2025 Hyper V virtualization stacks.
Deploy and manage VMs, storage (LUNs/datastores), networking, and monitoring tools.
Implement DR, failover, backup, and recovery processes.
Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and/or JavaScript.
Develop and maintain documentation and incident/change records.
