Position Summary We are seeking a professional and personable VIP Concierge to welcome VIPs, sponsors, and distinguished guests at S.B. Ballard Stadium during ODU home football games. As the first point of contact for these guests, you will create a warm, professional, and memorable experience, ensuring they feel valued and attended to. This is a seasonal role from August 15, 2025 and will end on December 31, 2025. This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 This position will remain open until December 31, 2025. About the Venue Chartway Arena is a 9,100-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Old Dominion University. Operated by OVG360 since it opened in 2002, Chartway Arena is known as one of the premier mid-sized collegiate venues in the country. Chartway Arena is home to Old Dominion Monarch Men's and Women's basketball, as well as concerts, family shows and other attractions for the Hampton Roads area. Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium, formerly Foreman Field, is a 21,944-seat multi-purpose stadium on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Requirements
- Must be available for all ODU home football games during the season.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on high-level guest service.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions closely.
- Ability to handle stressful or fast-paced situations calmly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet VIPs, sponsors, and other distinguished guests as they arrive via stadium elevators.
- Provide courteous assistance and information, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
- Monitor elevator occupancy and report any safety or operational concerns to stadium management.
- Promote a positive and memorable experience for all distinguished guests.
