Job Summary: The Vinyl Technician is responsible for the precise application of vinyl wraps and graphics to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction. This includes preparing surfaces, cutting and aligning vinyl materials, and using specialized tools to achieve a flawless finish.

Responsibilities

  • Vinyl Application: Apply vinyl graphics to signs, walls, windows, floors, and other surfaces according to client specifications.
  • Ensure precise alignment and smooth application, taking into consideration curves, corners, and contours of the surface.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for vinyl to be applied, removing any dirt, debris, or contaminants that may affect adhesion.
  • Ensure that surfaces are smooth and free from imperfections before applying vinyl.
  • Vinyl Cutting and Trimming: Use cutting tools to trim vinyl materials to the correct size and shape for the project
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate cuts, a seamless fit and bubble-free application
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean all tools and equipment used in the vinyl installation process to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Report any malfunctioning tools or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Quality Control: Inspect completed installations for any imperfections, such as bubbles, wrinkles, or misalignment, and make necessary corrections.
  • Ensure that the finished product meets the client's expectations and quality standards.
  • Communication: Communicate with supervisor and other production departments to understand the specific design preferences and requirements.
  • Provide updates on the progress of projects and address any concerns or questions.
  • Material Handling and Inventory Management: Manage vinyl materials, ensuring they are properly stored and handled to prevent damage.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
