About The Position

PURPOSE Performs assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under direct supervision, performs one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly or sub-assembly line to produce building material components windows and glass products: Assembles building windows, or glass. Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and uses of both hand and power tools. Works at different work stations as production needs require. Removes defective products as needed, leans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures Ability to work overtime as business needs requires, other duties as assigned. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 100 pounds.
