About The Position

The Marketing and Communications department is responsible for building the brand of Chautauqua Institution through excellence in storytelling, service, sales and support. We are seeking a talented and creative Videographer/Editor to join our summer production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content, select post-production of live events for on-demand viewing, filming social media content and other captures to support the Marketing Department and overall institution's video needs. This role requires a strong understanding of video production processes, post-production techniques, and the ability to tell compelling stories through visual media.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and edit marketing shorts and social media content covering events.
  • Filming select live presentations and capturing audio.
  • Editing videos using Adobe Premiere.
  • Use prior job knowledge to create storytelling and story-board communications.
  • Maintain data and information according to Institution data management guidelines and rules.
  • Assist with production workflows and workflow elements as necessary to achieve objectives.
  • Work in a variety of environments in a safe manner.
  • May be required to: lift up to 50 pounds, work at elevated heights, climb ladders, stairs, or other structures, be surrounded with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Attend scheduled department meetings.
  • Follow direction from other team members.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to achieve goals.
  • Maintain high quality and adherence to all standards of brand imprinting on produced content.
  • Will engage graciously with patrons and other constituents, serving as an ambassador of Chautauqua Institution’s service commitment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
